UDHAMPUR, July 16: Udhampur Police today arrested four gamblers and seized betting money from their possession.
Acting on a specific information, a Police party from PP Tikri raided main chowk Tikri and arrested the gamblers, who were playing cards. The accused were identified as Bawa Ram of Lehnu, Tikri, Rahul Sharma of Lehnu, Lal Chand of Chakhar and Ashok Kumar of Tikri. Police also seized playing cards along with betting money of Rs 5070 from the arrested accused spot.
In this connection, a case under Gambling Act has been registered against the accused persons.
