KATHUA, Oct 5: Four fresh cases of Dengue have been detected in Kathua district.
Confirming this, the CMO Kathua, Dr Sangra told Excelsior that four cases of Dengue were detected in Kathua yesterday. He said after the Health Department came to know about the fresh cases of Dengue a team of doctors and para medical staff was deployed in the area for surveillance and spray.
He said these patients were already on treatment however the Health Department after coming to know about the fresh detection of cases took precautionary measures by taking up in hand spray and sprinkling of medicines at the mosquito breeding places in these areas.
He said one case of Dengue was detected in Ward Number 3, Kathua, two at Hatli More and one was reported from village Dukhat ten kms away from Hatli More but the patient is also presently putting up at Tara Nagar near Hatli More.
The CMO said seven cases of Dengue were detected in the district last month with this the total cases have touched to 11. He said the patients are already under treatment and there is nothing to be panicky about the same.
