UDHAMPUR, Dec 11: Four members of a family were injured when the car, they were travelling in met with an accident at Mand near Tikri while an unidentified pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near SSP office, here today.
According to the reports, Alto car bearing registration number JK06-4191, which was on way from Doda to Jammu, skidded off the road and rammed into a boulder on the Jammu-Udhampur National Highway at Mand near Tikri. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. .
The injured were identified as Nizaz Ahmed (65), son of Lal Din, Mehajbeen (55), wife of Nizaz Ahmed, Shafia (70) wife of Bashir Ahmed and Rahil (22) son of Aizaz Ahmed, all of district Doda.
Meanwhile, in another road accident, an unidentified pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at Shiv Nagar near SSP Office Udhampur, early this morning. Police shifted the injured person to DH Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
