UDHAMPUR, Mar 5: The police seized a vehicle and rescued four bovine animals in Udhampur area today.
Official sources said that a police team from Udhampur Police Station during naka intercepted a Mahindra load carrier bearing registration number JK02DA-8994 for inspection.
Upon noticing the police, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot. During search of the vehicle four bovines were found cruelly tied inside the vehicle, being transported illegally towards Kashmir Valley without valid permission.
All the bovines were rescued and shifted to a safer place. In this regard, a case FIR No. 66/2025 under section 223(a) BNS & 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
