4 booked for misbehaving with police

RAJOURI, July 6: In a significant development, four Government employees have been booked under Sections 132, 352, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for allegedly obstructing Government duty and misbehaving with police personnel on duty at Naka point in Rajouri late last evening.
The accused have been identified as Abhishek, son of Yash Pal, resident of Patrara, Sunderbani; Romi Sharma, son of Sat Pal, resident of Siot; Sachait Sharma, son of Birbal Sharma, resident of Sunderbani; and Sanjeev Singh, son of Balbir Singh, also a resident of Sunderbani. Three of them are said to be Health employees and one from Irrigation department, a police official said.
The four individuals, police said, were traveling in a vehicle bearing registration number JK11H-0254 from Rajouri towards Jammu. Upon reaching Thalka Naka, their vehicle was stopped by police for routine checking.
During the inspection and subsequent questioning, the vehicle occupants allegedly turned aggressive and began using abusive and unparliamentary language with police personnel present at the checkpoint.
As their behavior was deemed obstructive and unlawful, and as a result, a case was registered against them, the police said.
They have been booked under Section 132 (Obstruction to public servant in discharge of duty), Section 352 (Assault or use of criminal force), and Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, vide FIR No. 88/2025 at Police Station, Nowshera, the police official said.
