JAMMU, Jan 20: Belicharana police arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 42,530 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Belicharana Police Post conducted raid in Lower Raipur area and arrested four gamblers along with Rs 42,530 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested gamblers have been identified as Ajit Singh, son of Karan Singh, a resident of Bhatindi, Karam Jeet Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Nai Basti, Swaran Singh, son of Bhagwan Singh, a resident of Chatha and Jarnail Singh, son of Nardev Singh, a resident of Lower Belicharana.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered against them at Satwari Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Belicharana Police Post SI Manoj Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeeep Choudhary.
