JAMMU, Oct 29: Thirty-seven fresh dengue cases were reported across the Jammu and Kashmir, taking the total number of infections this year to 2,610.
As many as 228 tests were conducted on October 28. Of the new cases, 21 are males and 16 females, including 1 child and 36 adults. Jammu and Kathua districts reported 17 cases each, raising their total to 1097 and 717, respectively. One case each was also reported from Udhampur, Rajouri and other states/UTs.
So far, 22,612 dengue tests have been conducted this year-slightly lower than that recorded during the same period in 2024, whereas the total infections remain significantly lower than last year’s 4,672 cases.
Hospital data shows no new admissions today while as three patients are still under treatment in various hospitals.
Health officials have urged people to remain alert, prevent mosquito breeding, and adopt protective measures such as using repellents and keeping surroundings clean.
