UDHAMPUR, Apr 30: Udhampur Police today foiled three bovine smuggling attempts at Jakhani Naka point, leading to the rescue of 35 bovines and arrest of three smugglers.
These bovines were being smuggled in three vehicles ( JK18A-4996, JK13A-1001, JK19-4601), which were intercepted by a team of Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO Raghubir Singh.
Police rescued the bovine animals and arrested driver of these vehicles, identified as Mohd Mushtaq, son of Rashid Khari of Devsar, Kulgam; Mohd Mansa, son of Mohd Yousaf of Kanskashiya, Reasi and Mushtaq Ahmed son of Abdul Rehman of Gool, Ramban.
