33rd Annual function of CEAMA concludes

NEW DELHI, Dec 17: 33rd Annual function of Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA) concluded today.
On the occasion, Praful Patel, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, J Satyanarayan, Secretary, Department of Electronics and IT, MS Bitta, Chairman, All India Anti-Terrorist Front, Mohd Azharuddin, Member Parliament along with Anirudh V Dhoot, President, CAEMA and many prominent industry leaders were present.
Praful Patel in his view said that the consumer electronics and home appliances industry in India after showing healthy growth for last many years was experiencing weak demands due to slowdown in the economy.
He added that country had experience d tremendous progress in these two decades, leading to growth in all sectors including consumer electronics and home appliances sector.
J Satyanarayana said that the Government has notified Electronic Policy to incentivize electronics hardware manufacturing in the country.
At today’s annual function, Anirush Dhoot spoke about the current economic conditions with its effect on the current performance of consumer durable sector.
On the occasion, Praful Patel felicitated Daizo Ito, President, Panasonic India Private Limited with the “Man of Electronics Award” and “Outstanding Professional of the Industry Award” to Ravinder Zutshi, Deputy Managing Director, Samsung India Electronics Private Limited.
