33 nominations rejected

JAMMU, Dec 4: The Returning Officers today rejected nomination papers of 33 candidates, who were mostly covering candidates for nominees of various political parties and Independents during scrutiny of documents for 20 Assembly segments of Jammu, Kathua and Rajouri districts, which will go to polls in fifth and final phase of Assembly elections on December 20.
A total of 258 candidates had filed their nomination papers till yesterday, the last date of filing papers. The candidates can withdraw the nominations till the afternoon of December 6.
After rejected of 33 nominations, 225 candidates have been left in the fray for 20 seats.
In Bani Assembly constituency, 11 candidates have been cleared including Pawan Dev Singh (JKNPP), Jeewan Lal (BJP), Rajnish Sharma (INC), Ramzan Hussain (BSP), Ghulam Hyder Malik (NC), Mohammad Salim Lone (PDP), Pishori Lal (Ind) Deep Kumar (Ind), Lal Chand (Ind), Mohd Rafiq (Ind) and Madan Lal (Ind).
In Basohli Assembly Constituency, 15 candidates were left in the fray, who include Jagdish Raj Spolia (INC), Khadam Hussain Wani (BSP),  Davinder Singh (NC), Rangil Singh (PDP), Romesh Chander Gupta (JKNPP), Lal Singh (BJP), Ashwini Kumar (Ind), Brijeshwar Singh (Ind),  Parvez Ahmed Reza (Ind), Jagdish Chander (Ind), Charan Das (Ind), Darshan Kumar (Ind), Rajinder Singh (Ind),  Shams Deen (Ind)  and  Kanta Andotra (Ind).
In Kathua Assembly seat, 15 candidates were left in the fray. They were Balbir Singh (JKNPP), Jatinder Singh alias Babu Singh (INC), Rajiv Jasrotia (BJP), Som Raj Majotra (BSP), Subash Chander (PDP), Kishore Kumar (NC), Manoj Kumar(CPI), Kasturi Lal (BMP), Gurnam Singh (All J&K Kissan Majdoor Party), S. Jameet Singh (Ind), Charanjit Singh (Ind), Harish Chander Sharma (Independent), Robin Ramkrishan alias Robin Sharma (Ind),  Sudesh Kumar (Ind) and Naresh Kumar Sharma (Ind).
In Billawar seat, 8 candidates have been cleared after scrutiny of the documents. They were Jatinder Singh (PDP), Ravinder Singh (JKNPP), Sanjeev Khajuria (NC), Dr Manohar Lal Sharma (INC), Dr Nirmal Singh (BJP), Naresh Kumar (BSP), Sham Lal Gupta (Ind) and Mahmood Hussain (Ind).
In Hiranagar Assembly constituency, 8 candidates were cleared for the contest, who include Bansi Lal Kandley (Ind), Girdhari Lal Chalotra (INC), Suraj Parkash (PDP), Puran Chand (BSP),  Chandu Ram (NC), Jagdish Raj (JKNPP), Ravail Singh (Ind) and Kuldeep Raj (BJP).
In Nagrota Assembly seat, 12 candidates were left in the fray. They were Devender Singh Rana (NC), Ch. Hussain Ali Wafa (PDP), Rakesh Wazir (BSP), Shiv Dev Singh (INC), Nand Kishore (BJP), Vilakshana Singh (JKNPP),  Bansi Lal ( All J&K  Kissan Mazdoor  Party), Riyaz  Ahmed (J&K People’s Conference), Ab. Gani (Jammu State Morcha, progressive), Shah Mohammad (Ind), Kamal Kumar (Ind) and Nazakat Ali Khatana (Ind).
In Gandhi Nagar segment, 12 candidates were left in the contest after scrutiny of documents today. They include S Amrik Singh (PDP), Anita Thakur (JKNPP), Raman Bhalla (INC), Ravinder  Singh Pappu (BSP), S Surinder Singh Bunty (NC), Kavinder Gupta (BJP), Gourav Kapoor (NCP), Kanchan Sharma (Bhartiya Bahujan Party), Neeraj Kumar (Ind/Bhartiya Chaitanya Party), Prabodh Chander Sharma (Ind), Kuldeep Singh (Ind) and Madhu Bala (Ind).
In Jammu East constituency, 10 Candidates have been cleared, who include Bimla Luthra (JKNC), Bharat Chowdhary (JKPDP), Rajesh Gupta (BJP), Rajesh Gondhi (JKNPP), Shokat Ali (BSP), Vikram Malhotra (INC), Ajay Jagotra (Ind),  Sanjeev Gupta (Ind),  Kasturi Lal Gupta (Ind)  and Mahesh Chander Padha (Ind).
In Jammu West Assembly seat, 16 candidates were in the fray now. They are Dharamveer Singh (JKNC), Rajinder Singh Bloria (NCP), Sat Paul Sharma CA (BJP), Sarv Daman Bhasin (PDP), Surinder Singh Shingari (INC), Mohinder Kumar (BSP), Neeraj Gupta (JKNPP), Uday Chand (Ind/Duggar Pradesh Party), Ghani Sham(Ind/Rashtriya KrantiKari Samajwadi Party), Arun Kumar Sawhany (Ind), Dr. Anil Kumar Dhar (Ind),  Sawatantar Bharat Bakshi (Ind), Sanjay Gupta (Ind), Kuldeep Magotra (Ind), Kanwar Jeet (Ind) and Vijay Kumar Verma (Ind).
In Bishnah constituency, 10 candidates were left in the race. They are Ashwani Kumar Sharma (BJP), Bharat Bushan (BSP), Faqir Chand (PDP), Krishan Kumar Digra (NCP), Kamal Verma (NC),  Gulchain Singh Charak (INC),  Ganshyam Sharma (Panthers Party), Bimal Devi Mottan (Samajwadi Party), Vicky Kumar Dogra (Bahujan Mukti Party) and Rampal Khajuria (Ind).
In R S Pura Assembly seat, 11 candidates have been cleared, who include Ajaib Singh Mottan (BSP), Bhushan Lal (PDP), Romesh Lal Mottan (NC), Suman Lata Bhagat (INC), Kesar Parveen (JKNPP), Dr Gagan Bhagat (BJP), Sham Lal (SP), B R Kundal (Ind), Pargat Singh (Ind), Devinder Singh (Ind), and Kuldeep Raj (Ind).
In Suchetgarh Assembly seat, 12 candidates were in the fray including Ashok Kumar Randhawa (JKNPP), Tarlok Singh (PDP), Taranjit Singh Tony (NC), Dev Raj (NCP), Rajinder Singh Chib (INC), Sham Lal Choudhry (BJP), Harjeet Kumar (BSP), Jeet Raj (Bahujan Mukti Party), Bachan Lal Choudhary (Ind), Bhupinder Singh (Ind), Rajinder Singh Toofani (Ind) and Ranjit Singh (Ind).
In Marh seat, 9 candidates have been cleared for the contest including Ashok Kumar (BSP), Sukhnandan Kumar (BJP), Balwan Singh (INC), Sandeep Singh (NCP), Ajay Kumar Sadhotra (NC), Suram Singh (PDP), Shanker Singh (JKNPP), Vijay Kumar (All J&K Kissan Mazdoor Party) and Darshan Lal (Ind).
In Raipur Domana Assembly seat, 11 candidates were in the contest including Bali Bhagat (BJP), Bihari Lal (BSP), Chaman Lal (PDP), Sat Paul (NC), Mula Ram (INC), Nirmal Kishore (JKNPP), Surjeet Kumar (Bharatiya Bahujan Party), Harbans Lal Bhagat (Aam Admi Party), Anil Kumar (Ind), Raj Kumar ( Ind) and Naresh Salgotra (Ind).
In Akhnoor Assembly constituency, 8 candidates have been cleared for the contest, who include Pushvinder Singh (JKNPP), Dev Raj (PDP), Raj Kumar (BSP),Rajeev Sharma (BJP), Sham Lal Sharma (INC), Dr Gafoor Ahmed (JKNC), Pardeep Kumar (Independent) and Tej Ram (Independent).
In Chhamb Assembly segment, 11 candidates were in the fray including Bhajan Lal (NCP), Tara Chand (INC), Janak Raj (JKNPP), Shakti Bala (NC), Dr Krishan Lal (BJP), Madan Lal (PDP), Manoj Kumar (BSP), Subash Chander (All J&K Kissan Mazdoor Party), Biru Mal (Ind) Chaman Lal Kanaithia (Ind) and Mohinder Lal (Ind).
In Nowshera seat, 11 candidates were left in the race. They wereHaq Nawaz (BSP),  Ravinder Raina (BJP), Ravinder Kumar Sharma (INC), Radhey Sham Sharma (NC),  Surinder Kumar (PDP), Yash Paul (NPP), Vijay Kumar Bali (HJP), Ashwani Kumar Sharma (Ind), Pankaj Kumar Raina (Ind), Rajinder Kumar (Ind) and Surinder Kumar Choudhary (Ind).
In Darhal seat, 12 Candidates were in the race including Thakur Puran Singh (BJP), Ch. Zulfkar Ali (PDP), Sheraz Begum (BSP), Ch. Liaqat Ali (JKNC), Mohammad Iqbal Malik (INC), Mohammad Rakiz (JKNPP), Rafaqat Ajaz Choudary (Hindustan Krantikari Dal), Abdul Manaf (Ind), Ghulam Header Atish (Ind), Manir Hussain   (Ind), Nazir Hussain (Ind) and (Ch. Naseem Liaqat -Independent  candidate, who has applied for withdrawal of his candidature).
In Rajouri seat, 15 candidates have been cleared for the contest including Mohammad Farooq (Ind), Mirza Abdul Rashid (NC), Liyaqat Ali (Ind), Shabir Ahmed Khan (INC), Istkhar Ali Ahmed (Ind), Ghulam Mustafa (Ind), Qamar Hussain (PDP),  Sharafat Ali (BSP), Ghulam Rasool (Ind), Ghulam Mustafa (JKNPP), Yog Raj (Ind), Chowdhary Talib Hussain (BJP), Rajinder Gupta , Nazir Ahmed Ganai (Ind) and Zaheer Ahmed (Ind).
In Kalakote Assembly seat, 8 candidates were in the fray including Asad Bari Shah (PDP), Ashok Kumar Sharma (INC), Rachpaul Singh (JKNC), Abdul Ghani Kohli (BJP), Mohammad Rafiq (BSP), Ashok Kumar (Ind), Mahesh Kumar Sharma (Ind) and Mohammad Yaqoob (INC).
