RAJOURI, Aug 31: The police seized 22 bovine animals along with three vehicles in Nowshera area of district Rajouri last night.
A police spokesman said that a police party led by SHO Nowshera Haji Bashir and SDPO Nawaz Ahmed on the directions of ASP Nowshera, Atul Sharma laid nakka during last night on Jammu-Poonch highway near Thalka and intercepted three Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration numbers- JMU- BM/ 9324, JK-20/ 3809 and JK02AC/4752.
While the drivers and smugglers managed to escape from the spot, the police seized the vehicles along with 22 bovine animals. The police said that these vehicles were proceeding towards Kashmir via Mughal Road. Three FIRs were registered in this connection.
