3 thieves arrested with stolen medicines worth Rs 80,000

JAMMU, Nov 23: City Police arrested three thieves along with stolen medicines worth Rs 80,000.
As per police sources, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station City by complainant namely Suraj Kumar, son of late Om Parkash of Kote Mora Badhani Tehsil Bhalwal District Jammu stating that on 22.11.2021 some unknown thieves entered into his shop KS Pharma (Wholesale Pharmaceutical distributer) RN Pura and decamped with medicines worth Rs 80,000.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 74/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station City and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station City led by SHO Inspector Vijay Kumar under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu was constituted.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area finally rounded up three suspects namely Rahul Sharma, son of Kewal Krishan, Anurag Sharma, son of late Ashwani Sharma and Akhil Sharma, son of Raj Kumar, all residents of Ratnal Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
During sustained questioning, trio confessed their involvement in the theft case and on their disclosure stolen medicines were recovered from their vehicle bearing Registration Number JK02BH 9497. The vehicle was also seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
