KATHUA, Aug 19: Three teenagers were killed tonight in a tragic road accident after they were run over by a speedy vehicle at Muthi Jagir near here.
The deceased were identified as Sunil Kumar, 22, son of Prem Nath, Chander Kumar, 14, son of Tara Chand and Ankit Sharma, 18, son of Ghan Sham Sharma, all residents of Muthi Jagir, Kathua.
As per reports the three teenagers were on way to village when an unknown Scorpio hit them and fled away taking the advantage of darkness. All the three fell in a pool of blood. They were shifted to Medical College Kathua for autopsy by police with the help of local people.
The Nagri Parole Police Post has registered a case in this regard. Police has also alerted all nakas on Kathua-Jammu road to seize the Scorpio which was on way from Kathua towards Jammu.
However, no headway was made till last reports came in.
