3 residential houses gutted, one partially damaged

RAMBAN, Apr 11: Three houses were gutted and one house was partially damaged in a fire incident at village Nadika, tehsil Kheri.
As per police sources, fire broke out in a house at village Nadika this afternoon which later engulfed the adjoining houses.
After seeing the flames billowing out, locals rushed to the spot and started operation to douse the flames by using sand and water as the area is non-motorable.
After getting information, police team also reached the spot, but till then the fire was brought under control by the locals.
Three houses belonging to Mohammad Ramdan, Mohammad Yousuf and Abdul Majeed were totally gutted in the fire, while the house of Abdul Gafar was partially damaged.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
The fire victims reported to police that cash worth around Rs 3 lakh has been gutted in fire, which they had earned after doing labour work in different States.
During preliminary investigation, it came to fore that probably short-circuit is the reason behind the incident, but to find out exact reason, a case has been registered at Kheri police post and investigation started.
