UDHAMPUR, May 17: Continuing its offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, Udhampur police arrested three narcotic smugglers and seized 40 grams of heroin besides a digital weighing machine and cash Rs 2,000 from their possession.
The accused were apprehended by a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur, Chanchal Singh, under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs, Sahil Mahajan, while patrolling near Dudha Dhari Mandir Udhampur. They were identified as Sukhdev Singh, son of Tej Singh of village Sarotkot Reasi A/P Billan Bowli Udhampur, Abhinandan Khajuria alias Nandu, son of Davinder Khajuria of Ward number 2 Indira Nagar Udhampur and Jaya Anand Giri , son of Sadha Nand Giri of Jaganu Morh Udhampur.
In this connection, a case FIR number 161/2021, under section 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
