KATHUA, May 30: At least three kullahs/cattle sheds were gutted in three separate incidents in district Kathua today.
Reports said a Kullah of one Lal Singh was gutted at Paleta village of Samlah Panchayat during mid day today. No loss of human life was reported but grains and other house hold goods of the family were destroyed in the fire incident.
Two cattle sheds of the local villagers were reduced to ashes at Chakrha village near Hiranagar this afternoon. The animals were grazing away from home in fields when the mishap took place. A fire tender from Hiranagar was pressed into service however, the structures had already gutted.
A Fire Services official said that at least 11 fire incidents were reported in Kathua, Barnoti and Hiranagar blocks in last 24 hours.
