3 killed, 12 injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Oct 26: Three persons were killed, while 12 others were injured in separate mishaps.
As per reports, an Apple loaded truck bearing registration number PB013W 9943, on its way to Jammu from Srinagar skidded off the road and turned turtle at Sangoor bypass area of Udhampur district early morning.
In the mishap, the truck helper and a passerby died while the driver and another person were injured.
The deceased persons were identified as Raj Kumar, son of Krishan Lal of Sangoor, Udhampur and truck helper Harpal Singh, son of Rajinder Singh of Rajinder Nagar, Sangrur, Punjab.
The injured persons were driver of the truck Avtar Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh of Maler Kotla, Punjab and Romesh Kumar, son of Isher Dass of Barrain, Udhampur. The duo were shifted to District Hospital, where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and investigation started.
In another accident, a Bolero car bearing registration number JMUAA-6261 collided head on with oil tanker (JK14A-3461) at Jalebi Morh, under the jurisdictrion of Kud Police Station.
The body of deceased identified as Sanjeev Kumar, son of Angad Ram of Batote, was shifted to hospital for postmortem, whereas, tanker driver Aneesh Kumar, son of Thakur Dass of Ramban was arrested.
Meanwhile, ten persons were injured, when the bus they were traveling is skilled off the road and plunged into a gorge at Kaila Morh, Simbal Choa, in district Reasi.
The ill fated bus bearing registration number JK02U-6771, on its way to Reasi from Holy Town Katra, skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge, causing injuries to ten persons.
On getting information, police along with locals started rescue operation and shifted them to District Hospital in police and other vehicles.
The injured persons were identified as Madan Gopal Abrol, son of Des Raj of Pouni, Pash Ram, son of Dhani Ram of Kalakote, Parvez Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed of Gool, Ramban, Raman Sharma, son of Darshan Lal of Vikram Chowk, Jammu, Mohd Sharief, son of Mohd Iqbal of Bhaga, Joginder Singh, son of Naseeb Singh of Pancheri, Sachin Sudan, son of Ashok Kumar of Reshamgarh Colony, Jammu, Mulkh Raj, son of Faqir Chand of Kakdayal, Ashiq Mohd, son of Mohd Yousaf of Tei Kundra and Sukhi Ram, son of Mani Ram of Palkhai, Udhampur.
A case has been registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation started.
