JAMMU, Apr 4: Three Army soldiers were killed and another was missing, who too was presumably dead, after an avalanche struck convoy of three Army vehicles at Chang-la in Leh yesterday afternoon. Two others jawans were injured.
Defence spokesman Col SD Goswami told the Excelsior that an avalanche struck convoy of three Army vehicles at Chang-la at 3.30 pm yesterday.
He said three Army jawans were killed and another was missing while two others were injured in 100 feet wide and 800 feet long with 25 feet height avalanche. The missing jawan was also presumably dead, he added.
However, condition of two injured jawans is out of danger.
Other jawans in the vehicles had narrow escape.
