RAJOURI, July 5: In a significant breakthrough, the police in Rajouri has successfully solved two separate theft cases reported from Jawahar Nagar and Malik Market areas of Rajouri town.

A police official said that acting on the complaints, police teams arrested three accused persons and recovered the stolen property. Two written complaints were received at Police Station Rajouri on June 25 regarding theft incidents at Jawahar Nagar and Malik Market. Accordingly, two separate FIRs- 330/2025 and 338/2025 were registered to initiate the legal process and commence investigation.
During the investigation three suspects were rounded up for questioning. The accused were identified as Zaheer Abbas alias Billa, son of Mohd Latief, resident of Dugani, Chingus; Mohd Nadeem, son of Mohd Kabir Khan, resident of Saaj, Thannamandi; and Mohd Altaf, son of Mohd Rashid, resident of Manote, Surankote.
The police said all the three accused are habitual offenders with multiple theft-related cases already registered against them. Their arrest marks a significant success in the police’s ongoing efforts to curb property-related crimes in the district.
