RAJOURI, Jan 10: The police arrested three drug-peddlers from Nowshera and Rajouri areas today and recovered about 19 gms of heroin from their possession.
Reports said a police party from Nowshera led by SHO Arjun Magotra during naka at Thalka intercepted a bike rider and during his search recovered 09 gms of heroin from his possession. He was identified as Waqaar Ahmed, son of Sakinder Hussain, resident of Jawahar Nagar, Rajouri. A case was registered against him
A Rajouri police party led by SHO, Abid Hussain Shah during routine patrolling on University Road intercepted two persons identified as Gul Maroof, son of Mohd Janaid from Saj, Thanamandi and Wasim Akram, son of Parvaiz Akhter from Fatehpur Danna in Rajouri. During search 09 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.
A case FIR No. 21/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri against them. Both the accused have been arrested.
