JAMMU, Feb 15: Bahu Fort police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three drug peddlers and recovered heroin of worth Rs 4.92 crore.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station laid a naka and apprehended drug peddlers along with 485 grams of heroin worth Rs 4.85 crores.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ghulam Mohammad, son of late Assadullah of Ward Number 5, Nawakadal Srinagar and Lakhbir Singh, son of Bachitter Singh of Malakpura, Miran Sahib.
A case under FIR Number 47/18 under Section 8/20/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station arrested one another drug peddler identified as Sajjad Hussain, son of Asadullah of district Rajouri and recovered 7 grams heroin worth Rs 70,000 from his possession.
A case under FIR Number 48/18 under Sections 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
