RAJOURI, Jan 8: Three drug peddlers were nabbed from Lamberi area in Nowshera and 40 grams of heroin like narcotic substance was recovered from their possession.
A Police Party of Police Post Lamberi, led by I/C PSI Sahil Choudhary, while performing naka duty, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number PB01C-0866 coming from Jammu and moving towards Rajouri.
During checking, 40 grams of heroin like narcotic substance was recovered from the possession of driver and two other persons boarding in the vehicle. They are identified as Nadeem Iqbal, son of Nazir Hussain, resident of Mendhar Poonch, Mohammad Ayaz Khan son of Mohammad Hanief Khan resident of Mendhar and Mohammad Banaras Khan son of Shabir Hussain resident of Mendhar.
Police arrested the trio and registered a case FIR No 04/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act in this connection in PS Nowshera. Further investigation of the case is going on to unearth backward and forward linkages.
