3-day Intl Conference on “Teaching, Learning and Education” concludes

JAMMU, May 8: Three-day International Virtual Conference on “Teaching, Learning and Education” organized by the Government College of Education Jammu with effect from May 6 successfully concluded this evening.
Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department Sanjeev Rana was the chief guest at the valedictory function and he appreciated the Government College of Education for taking such an initiative on teaching and learning during the current pandemic time.
“At a time when everything is standstill our academicians are really doing wonderful job by deliberating on the topics which remain focal point as far as higher education is concerned”, he said.
Earlier, Principal of the College Dr Kulvinder Kour spoke about the topics and issues deliberated upon during three days.
Dr Shubhra Jamwal, Assistant Professor of English, Government College of Education Jammu, who was also Organizing Secretary of the conference, presented the welcome address at the valedictory function and abstract report. She elaborated on the papers presented and to be released with ISBN number.
She informed that conference was attended by more than 100 delegates from several countries of the work including Iran, Pakistan, Philippines, Bangladesh, Europe, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Indonesia. “All the papers are highly informative and would go a long way in addressing the issues in the fields of teaching, learning and education”, she added.
Dr Sushma Bala, (Convenor of the Event) Assistant Professor of Education, GCOE presented the vote of thanks.
The conference was organized by GCoE in collaboration with State Islamic Institute Madura, Indonesia, UAAM and UMSR, Indonesia, Cape Comorin Trust and Lavender Literary Club in association with Cape Comorin Publisher, India.
NSS volunteers namely Ravinder Rao, Priya Chivalry Singh, Ambica , Aakrti, Ajay Bhau, Sunaina along with other volunteers  extended immense help in the successful conduct of the conference.
