UDHAMPUR, June 20: Three-day annual mela at Gori Mitti in north of Trikuta Hills concluded today amid fanfare and traditional Dogra cultural items.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Crime Branch Jammu, Benam Tosh was the chief guest on the occasion and DDC member Panchari- Moungri Jasvir Singh , Director Finance Archana Kumari , Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur Kamal Kishore ,Principal GHSS Moungri, Principal GHSS Ladda, SHO Panchari Purushottam Sharma, Dr Mulkh Raj Bhamagi, Captain Pavitra Singh were the special guests of honour.
Tehsildar Moungri Arushi Sabharwal who was the Mela Officer while President of Mela Committee Jagdish Singh, vice- president Sansar Chand Bhagat, Ramesh Singh and Sukhdev were the main organizers. A large number of artists and students displayed their talents on the occasion, mesmerizing the huge gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Benam Tosh exhorted the public to firmly stand against drug abuse in Panchari-Lander- Bhamag areas of district Udhampur. He advised the students to shine in sports & studies equally and become officers , dedicated honest leaders and work whole-heartedly towards development. He invited the tourists to come and enjoy along with families, friends, nears & dears.
