UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Chenani and rescued three animals, which were being smuggled in a Tata Mobile vehicle.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK14F-1758 was intercepted by a Police party from Police Station Chenani. During search, three bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicle without any valid permission.
All the three bovine animals were rescued and driver of the vehicle, Mohd Aslam son of Nazeer Ahmed of Udhampur was arrested on the spot. In this connection, case under relevant section of law has been registered at PS Chenani.
