UDHAMPUR, Oct 26: In a tragic road accident, a motorcyclist along with his two pillion riders was crushed to death when his bike collided head on with an Army vehicle on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, near Kud, this morning.
The accident took place around 9 am and the motorbike, bearing registration number JK02T-7203, was on way from Patnitop when it collided with the Army’s Recovery vehicle, which was coming from the opposite direction.
The trio reportedly died on the spot and later their bodies were shifted to CHC Chenani for postmortem and other legal formalities.
The deceased were identified as Sansar Chand son of Prem Chand, resident of village Ghar Roan Kalan, Chenani, Rinku Sharma, son of Jeet Ram of Ghar Roan Kalan Chenani and Kishore Kumar son of Naseeb Chand, resident of Mantalai.
Police has detained driver of the Army vehicle and registered a case in this connection.
