RAJOURI, May 31: A Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex here under the chairmanship of Principal, District and Sessions Judge Sanjay Gupta.
Two benches were constituted. The first bench comprised of Principal, District and Sessions Judge Sanjay Gupta and MA Khan, Additional Principal, District and Sessions Judge. The second bench comprised of Surinder Singh, CJM and Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, District Mobile Magistrate.
In the Lok Adalat, 10 MACT cases were taken up and all were settled. An amount of Rs 10,30,000 was awarded as compensation. 25 civil, petty criminal cases were also taken up, out of which 18 were disposed off.
