270 posts of teachers vacant in Kargil: Naeem

JAMMU, Apr 8: 270 posts of general line teacher are lying vacant in district Kargil and the same would be filled as soon as the select list is received from recruiting agencies.
The information was given by the Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar while replying to a question of Haji Inayat Ali in the Legislative Council.
While replying to an another question of Ghulam Nabi Monga, the minister on behalf of Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation informed the House that a comprehensive relief and rehabilitation package of Rs 43959.56 crore has been submitted to Government of India for approval but till date no funds have been released.
The minister said that relief/compensation have been paid on account of damages/losses to life and private property. He said steps taken by the Government for rehabilitation for flood victims include ex-gratia relief @ of Rs 1.50 lakhs each under SDRF norms/rules, has been sanctioned/paid in favour of the NoK’s of deceased persons, while as an amount of Rs 2 lakhs each has been sanctioned as ex-gratia relief out of Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
Naeem Akhtar further said that ex-gratia relief out of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund @ Rs 1.50 lakhs each has been sanctioned and disbursed to families of the deceased persons. He further said that similarly ex-gratia relief @ Rs 1 lakh for fully damaged Pucca and Rs 0.50 lakh for fully damaged Kacha house is also being directly deposited in the individual bank accounts of each affected family by the Prime Minister’s Office.
The minister said that rent @ Rs 5000 in Municipal areas, Rs 3500 in urban areas and Rs 2000 in rural areas per family/per month is paid to all such families, whose residential houses were fully damaged during floods. He said those families who opted for shelter sheds instead of house rent have been provided shelter sheds at different places.
The minister said that besides 6 months free ration, timber to the extent of 100, 50 and 30 cft to fully/severely/partially damaged houses respectively is being provided to the sufferers on concessional rates and without charging VAT.
While replying to another question raised of Jugal Kishore on behalf of the Minister for Revenue, Naeem Akhtar informed the House that 6 mutations have been attested in Tehsil Reasi in favour of 54 persons under Section 121 of Land Revenue Act.
