RAJOURI, Dec 5: In a significant move to ensure road safety and strict compliance with traffic regulations, Traffic police team during special nakas seized two vehicles and challaned 25 for various violations on Mughal Road near Bufliaz.
Official sources said that a Traffic Police team led by Assistant Traffic Inspector Abdul Hamid, conducted a special naka on the Mughal Road today. This operation was part of an ongoing initiative to curb traffic violations and ensure smooth vehicular movement on this route.
During the drive, 25 vehicles were challaned for various offences, including overloading, over- speeding, and failure to produce valid documents. Additionally, two vehicles were seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act, and a total fine of Rs 35,300 was imposed on violators.
The official highlighted the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to prevent accidents and maintain safety on the roads. “This joint effort reflects our commitment to ensuring that the Mughal Road remains safe for all travellers. Such drives will be conducted regularly to deter violations,” he added.
The Traffic Police have urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by following road safety norms and ensuring that their vehicles comply with legal requirements.
