POONCH, Jan 6: The police seized 23 vehicles in Surankote area of district Poonch for violations.
A police spokesman said that in order to strengthen road safety and ensure strict compliance with traffic laws, Police Station Surankote today launched a special enforcement drive against vehicles operating with outside-state registration, without registration numbers, and without valid documents.
During the drive, police teams conducted thorough checking at multiple locations within the jurisdiction of PS Surankote. As a result of this focused action, a total of 23 vehicles were seized for various violations of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The seized vehicles include six Light Motor Vehicles, five Tractor Trolleys and 12 Motor-cycles. Out of the total seized vehicles, 6 were outside-state registered vehicles, found operating without proper authorization and requisite documentation.
