JAMMU, Sept 2: In a significant decision, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Raghav Langer today ordered repatriation of 23 Patwaris who were posted outside their parent district in violation of rules.
Interestingly, 15 of these Patwaris, including three from Kashmir Division, were posted in Jammu district.
Pertinent to mention that the post of Patwari is a District Cadre post and as such, they are to be posted within the territorial limits of their parent district.
“However, some Patwaris had been transferred in the past from their parent District to another District in violation of rules and directions, issued by the Government vide Governor order number Rev (NG) 52 of 2015, dated 09-03-2015; and thus have been repatriated to their parent district cadre as the work in the districts where from the Patwaris have been transferred is getting adversely affected,” reads the order, issued today by Divisional Commissioner Raghav Langer.
As per the order, these Patwaris, working outside the district cadre are deemed to be relieved forthwith, with the directions to report to the respective Deputy Commissioner of their District Cadre for further posting.
Those repatriated to their parent district, included Sajad Ahmed Bhat, Mumtaz Bano, Gulam Nabi, Anjum Javid, Malik Behzad Ali, Samreen Akhter, Mohd Aslam, Asif Iqbal, Hidayat Hussain, Shabina Bano, Mohd Razak, Asaf Iqbal, Shokat Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed Gorsi, Fahiza Bukhari, Pardeep Kumar, Mohd Iqbal Wani, Zaffer Iqbal, Gulzar Ahmed, Mohd Farooq, Mohd Illyas, Hafiz-Ul-Rehman and Shahid Qayoom.
