DODA, June 6: Twenty three bags of Government cement meant for developmental works were seized by the police and arrested one person.
As per police sources, 23 bags of cement was issued to Noor Mohammad, son of Abdul Gani Batt of Halla Dhara, district Doda for construction of foot path, lanes and drains of the village but the cement was being utilized by him for the construction of his house.
On getting information, police party from police station Doda conducted a raid and seized the cement bags meant for developmental works. The accused was also arrested from the spot.
A case under FIR number 101/14 under Sections 409 and 411 RPC has been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
Police team headed Inspector Puspinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Doda Mohammd Sharief Chouhan.
