2239 labourers registered for Amarnathji Yatra

GANDERBAL, June 25: Labour Commissioner, Vipra Bhal today visited the registration camp established by the Labour Department at Sonamarg for registration of labourers who intend to work during Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
On the occasion, Labour Commissioner impressed upon the concerned officials to strictly follow the instructions and set a proper procedure of registration and maintain the record. The Commissioner was briefed about the up-to-date details of registration.
She was informed that till date 2239 labourers stand registered at the camp and the registration of laborers is increasing on daily basis. The Labour Commissioner also directed the officers not to issue registration cards to the child labourers and in case of such instances launch prosecution against the offenders.
The Labour Commissioner also interacted with ponywallas, dandi walas etc and was happy to observe that the labourers are aware of the prevailing wage rates fixed by the district administration through the efforts of Labor Department  by giving  due publicity to such wage rates.
She was accompanied by Jitendra Kumar Singh Additional Chief Executive Officer Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, G. R Kumar Dy. Labour Commissioner, Kashmir Division and Gulzar Ahmad Khan, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ganderbal.
