RAMBAN, Jan 11: Batote police rescued 20 cattle and arrested one person.
As per police sources, during checking at Nashri, a team from Batote Police Station intercepted two vehicles.
During checking, police rescued 20 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who has been identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Shanker Dass, a resident of Neeli Nallah, Rehambal.
Cases under FIR Number 4/19 and 5/19 have been registered at Batote Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Nazir Ahmed rescued the cattle and arrested the smuggler under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
