REASI, Nov 1: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 20 animals besides arresting the smuggler, here today.
A specific information was received at police station Mahore that some smugglers were on way, alongwith bovine animals, towards Kashmir via Gulabgarh without any legal permission. On this, a police team from PP Dewal and SPP Arbaise was deputed to Gulabgarh. A special naka was laid at Chillibas (Shabrass) Gulabgarh by the police team under the supervision of SDPO Mahore, Mohd Aslam, during which 20 bovine animals were rescued from possession of the accused person, identified as Zubair Ahmed of Channa, Tehsil Chassana in Reasi.
Police arrested the accused and registered a case in this connection at police station Mahore.
