POONCH, May 31: Continuing its efforts to curb illegal mining activities in the district, District Police Poonch today seized two vehicles involved in the illegal transportation of minor minerals.
The action was taken by Police Post Ajote during routine patrolling, where two tractor-trolleys bearing registration numbers JK12A-7854 and JK12C-1391 were intercepted and found carrying illegally extracted material without any valid permit.
Both vehicles were detained on the spot, and the Mining Department was informed for taking further necessary legal action.
