KATHUA, May 22: J&K Forest Department officials seized two trucks loaded with timber and firewood logs in Hiranagar area, under Jasrota Forest Range of Kathua Forest Division.
Official sources said that during early hours of Wednesday a Forest Department team from Jasrota Range intercepted two trucks bearing registration numbers JK 14 B-2869 and JK 02 AC- 6922 at Chann Aroian check post loaded with mixed timber/firewood.
The teams led by Block Officer/ Forester, Mastgarh- Gandeep Singh, Dheeraj Pankaj I/C Korepunnu check post staff and FPF staff of Reporting Center, Haria Chak under the supervision of Range Officer, Jasrota, Munish Gupta, seized both the vehicles on the spot for violation of LT Rules. Further, proceedings have been initiated against the violators.
