RAJOURI, Nov 4: The police seized two trucks loaded with 28 bovine animals and foiled an attempt of the smugglers to illegally transport to milch animals to Kashmir via Mughal Road.
A police spokesman said that police naka parties led by SHO Rajouri Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of DySP headquarters Hamid Choudhary and SSP Atul Sharma laid nakas at Salani bridge and Thandi Kassin in Rajouri during last night and seized two trucks bearing registration numbers – JK02U-2969 and JK02AQ-9185 during early hours today.
While the drivers of the trucks managed to escape taking benefit of darkness, the police seized the vehicles loaded with total 28 bovine animals. The police registered FIRs 702/2016 and 703/ 2016 against the accused persons at Rajouri Police Station.
