SRINAGAR, Mar 28: Police in Anantnag district arrested two thieves and recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees.
Police Station Kokernag received a written complainant from one Ruby Akher wife of Mohmmad Iqbal Waza of Sagam Kokernag in which she stated that she visited her sister’s house short-time, in the meantime some unknown thieves entered in her residential house and have stolen some cash, Golden ornaments, copper utensils etc.
“Accordingly, case FIR No 30/2024 U/S 454, 380 IPC was registered and investigation set into motion. On receipt of this information Police party from PS Kokernag swiftly sung into the action and arrested two suspected persons namely Faizan Gulzar Lone son of Gulzar Ahmad Lone of Magraypora Achabal and Bilal Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganie of Nagam Kokernag and recovered stolen property from their possession,” Police said.
“Our consistent actions against anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making every effort to keep our society free of crime. Police has resolved to act as per law against those who indulge in criminal activities.”
