JAMMU, June 8: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested two more persons involved in firing case from Himachal Pradesh, police sources said.
The arrested persons were identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Tony, son of Gagi Ram of Dyalachack and Prince, son of Bharat Bhushan of District Samba. They were already arrested by Dharamshala Police of Himachal Pradesh in a case registered with them, sources informed
On getting information, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Bharat Sharma rushed to Himachal Pradesh and sought their custody in firing case.
It is pertinent to mention here that, around two months back, some unidentified persons opened fire on the residence of prominent contractor Choudhary Nagar Singh.
No one was injured in the firing. However, the main gate of the house and a car bearing registration number HP38F-6187 suffered damage. Cartridges were also recovered from in and outside the residence of the contractor. Around 15 persons were already taken into custody.
Further investigation into the case registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar is going on.
