JAMMU, Aug 7: In order to check punctuality among the teaching staff, Director School Education, Jammu, Gulzar Ahmed Qureshi today visited Government High and Primary School at Chandi Marh in Bufliaz Zone of Poonch district.
During his visit to Government High School, the Director found two Masters namely Maqbool Ahmed Khawaja and Devinder Singh, Teacher Mohd Rafiq and Lab Bearer Mohd Shafi absent from duty.
Similarly, in Primary School, Mr Qureshi found two teachers namely Tariq Mehmood and Farmida Kouser absent.
For their un-authorized absence and dereliction of duties, the Director placed these Masters and Teachers under suspension. They will remain attached in their respective schools during the suspension period.
Chief Education Officer, Poonch has been asked to call explanation from Zonal Education Officer, Bufliaz for his poor administrative control in the zone resulting into absenteeism and dereliction of duties among the teaching staff.
Mr Qureshi stressed the need to ensure punctuality among the teaching staff so that students don’t suffer for want of staff. He further reiterated that indiscipline and casual approach by teachers towards their duties would not be tolerated and dealt with sternly.
