UDHAMPUR, June 13: In a tragic road accident, two persons were killed and another got injured when a Swift car rammed into roadside parapet near Mand on the National Highway Udhampur, here today.
According to the reports, Swift car bearing registration number JK21K-9427, was on its way from Udhampur to Jammu when it met with accident near Prince Capri Mand. Driver apparently lost control over the wheels car speeding hit the roadside parapet.
Tikri police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where two of them were declared as brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Ashok Kumar (45), son of Babu Ram and Sunil Verma (40) son of Faquir Chand, both residents of Rathana, tehsil R S Pura.
Other injured, namely Sham Singh (35), son of Balwan Singh of Rathana, was undergoing treatment at the hospital and his condition was stated to be out of danger.
