SRINAGAR, June 14: Two persons were killed and 36 others injured in different road accidents across the Valley, police said.
A police spokesman said a truck JK05C-5709 and a Swift car JK01V-1845 collided at Palhallan in Baramulla and three person who were boarding in Swift car were injured. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Pattan for treatment where one of the injured Masroor Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Ramzan of Banday Mohalla, Handwara succumbed to his injuries while other two injured persons were shifted to SKIMS Soura for further treatment.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Wali Mohammad Sain of Androoth, Rajouri at Sangrama in Sopore. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
An excursion bus bearing JK05B/7099 turned turtle at Tangnar in Budgam in which 34 school children of Markazi Fallahi Khawateen (Nari Niketan) who were on way back from Doodh Pathri, Budgam to Kupwara were injured.
All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Khansahib where from two of them were shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital Srinagar and five to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
