UDHAMPUR, Sept 5: Two Army jawans were electrocuted while working at Three Advance Base Workshop of EME, Dhar Road Udhampur, here today.
The deceased have been identified as Craft Man, P Jaya Pal Readi (34), son of Pandolu Nagi Readi of village Mari Guba, District Anant Pura Andhra Pradesh and N/k I Basu Deban (32), son of S Virupan of village Snthan Kuri, District Ram Nath Pura, Tamil Nadu.
The duo received severe electric shocks while working in the Unit workshop this afternoon and were rushed to Command Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared them as brought dead.
Later, the dead bodies were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem.
The Udhampur Police, after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead bodies to Army authorities.
