UDHAMPUR, Nov 11: Police arrested two inter-district drug peddlers in Majalta area and recovered 10.7 grams of heroin from their possession.
The accused were travelling in an Auto, bearing registration number JK02DC-5270 and coming from Ramkot towards Khoon, which was stopped by a Police team of Police Station Majalta while conducting naka checking.
During frisking of the accused, 10.7 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession. The accused disclosed their identities as Vicky Bhagat, son of Madan Lal of Kha, Tehsil Ramkot, District Kathua and Vishal Singh, son of Joginder Singh of Kha, Ramkot, Kathua.
In this regard, case FIR number 92/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Majalta and investigation of the case has been taken up to ascertained backward and forward linkages of the drug peddling.
