RAJOURI, Dec 10: The police in Manjakote today registered two separate FIRs after receiving information that two local house owners had rented out accommodation to individuals from outside the Union Territory without completing the mandatory tenant verification process.
The accused persons have been identified as Mohd Tufail, son of Sakhi Walayat, resident of Manjakote and Mohd Razak, son of Feroz Din, resident of Hayatpura, Manjakote. Both individuals were found violating the standing orders issued by the District Magistrate, Rajouri, regarding compulsory tenant verification.
Accordingly, FIR No. 110/2025 and FIR No. 111/2025 have been registered at Police Station Manjakote for the violation.
Speaking on the matter, SDPO Manjakote Shahid Nahiem and SHO Manjakote Inspector Imran Khan urged the general public to strictly follow the tenant verification guidelines mandated by the District Magistrate. They reiterated that any non-compliance will invite strict legal action under relevant provisions of law.
The police have once again appealed to citizens to cooperate and ensure adherence to safety protocols to maintain peace and security in the area.
