RAJOURI, Aug 5: The police arrested two persons and recovered some quantity of heroin from their possession in Sunderbani area today.
Official sources said that a police team led by SHO Sunderbani Inspector Rajiv Sharma today apprehended two individuals and recovered 6.43 grams of heroin/ narcotic substance during a routine naka near ITI Sunderbani.
They were travelling in a Hyundai i10 vehicle bearing registration number JK11E-2233. The arrested individuals have been identified as Arfat Ahmad, son of Mohammad Sharif, resident of Dhar Sakri and Ishfaq Ahmed, son of Bashir Hussain, resident of Kheora, Rajouri.
In this regard a case FIR No. 50/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sunderbani. Both accused have been arrested and the vehicle used in the offence seized. Investigation into the matter is going on.
