RAJOURI, Feb 12: The police arrested two persons and recovered contraband substance during routine naka in Manyal area of Thannamandi today.
Reports said a police team led by SHO Thannamandi, Inspector Sachinder Pal Singh, under the supervision of SDPO Thannamandi, Parupkar Singh, during naka intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK11F-3666 for checking.
During checking nearly 30 grams of charas was recovered from the possession of two persons on board the vehicle. They were identified as Waseem Yusuf, son of Mohd Yusuf and Taraf Mehmood , son of Mohd Farooq, both residents of Manyal, Thannamandi.
In this regard, FIR No. 12/2026 under sections 8/20/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Thannamandi, and further investigation is underway.
