JAMMU, Jan 24: Two individuals were arrested with 17 grams of heroin-like-substance in Bari Brahmana area here today.
A police official said that an Alto Car (JK22A-6037) was intercepted for checking near Berger Paint Kikri Morh, Bari Brahmana.
On search of the vehicle, he said, 17 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from the possession of two occupants of the vehicle. They were identified as Shezad Ahmad Khan of Pati, Tolihallan, Sedheve, Shopian and Rashid Naseer Tak of Batapora, Shopian.
The accused were accordingly booked in case FIR number 11/2025 under sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and further investigation taken up, he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Station Bari Brahamana led by PSI Ibrar Mirza under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana and the overall supervision of SSP Samba Varinder Manhas
