2 found dead; 3 injured in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, May 1: In separate incidents, two youth were found dead under mysterious circumstances while a couple among three persons was injured in two road accidents, here today.
According to the police, one Madan Lal (35), son of Ram Ditta of village Tayari Ramnagar, was found hanging from a tree near his home. Local people saw him hanging and immediately informed Police, which rushed to the spot and took the dead body in their custody.
In separate incident, one Sanjay Kumar (37) son of Shanker Dass of village Payala in Ramnagar, was also found dead under mysterious circumstances. Police took the dead body in its custody and sent it to Ramnagar hospital for the postmortem.
Police has registered both the cases under the Section 174 CrPC for further investigation.
Meanwhile, an elderly couple sustained injuries when a Wagon-R car, they were traveling in, was  hit by Army vehicles  near Ghari on the National Highway.
Police shifted  the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur  where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu.  The duo was identified as Hakumat Singh (75) son of Kanaiya Singh of Barzulla Kashmir and his 65 year old wife Deepa Kour.
In another road accident,  a Motorcyclist was injured when his bike skidded off the road near Majalta. Locals people took the injured to PHC Majalta, where doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured was identified as Makhan Singh (19) son of Shanker Singh of Ramkot, district Kathua.
